CARF Accredited

CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) is an international, independent, nonprofit accreditor of human service providers and networks. CARF accreditation means MVCS’s business practices and programs have passed an in-depth review.

MVCS meets rigorous CARF guidelines for service and quality — a qualified endorsement that it conforms to nationally and internationally recognized service standards and is focused on delivering the most favorable results for persons it serves.

The public is assured that we are committed to continually improving the quality of our services and our organization’s focus is on service outcomes and customer feedback and satisfaction.

NAEYC Accredited

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is a national, voluntary accreditation system to set professional standards for early childhood education programs. NAEYC promotes high-quality learning by connecting practice, policy and research.

In 2024, our Early Education and Care Center successfully renewed their NAEYC accreditation. The new five-year term of accreditation recognizes our Early Education and Care Center for their outstanding efforts in maintaining and improving quality care and education.

Island Counseling Center Licensures and Designations

Our Island Counseling Center is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health as an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, and by the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services as a Substance Abuse Outpatient Counseling Facility. The center has also been designated by the Commonwealth as one of the regional Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHC).
