Join the Island Wide Youth Collaborative, Island Health Care and the Recovery Support Center to Nurturing Families Through Recovery.

This evidence-based 11-week nurturing families in recovery program focuses on the effects of substance abuse on families, parenting and the parent-child relationship.

What you will learn:

• Enhance parent’s self-awareness and increase understanding of their children
• Re-establish the strength of family relationships so that parents & children can heal together
• Help strengthen parent’s and children’s self-esteem
• Explore the developmental process of recovery, starting with establishing a trusting relationship and moving to competence and beyond
